Blair's foster dad loved her too much to part with her. She's found her forever home in Waterloo.

Fiona found her forever home in Kitchener and has a Pug/SharPei brother! How perfect!

Austin will be moving to Etobicoke to join his forever family, we are so happy for him.

Jack was so popular he was adopted before he even made it to the website.  Jack lives in Kitchener with a little Dachshund brother that he loves.

Ranger now calls Hamilton home and has a new mom and dad who are so happy to have him. Ranger also has a kitten to be a buddy to him.


"Briar found his forever home in Binbrook with a wonderful couple who fell in love with those gold eyes.  He will be a much loved dog.


Charlee was a special selection from the pound for a family looking for a black Lab pup. She was exactly what they were looking for and was promptly adopted.


Beth was such a good girl that it took no time to find her a loving forever home.  She calls London home now and has a mom and dad to spoil her and give her a permanent home, which is all she ever wanted.


Even a diagnosis of heart-worm didn't stop Pippa, now called Lola, from being adopted.  She is doing well in her treatment and we expect her to be heart-worm free by Christmas with her loving family in Kitchener,


Betty found her forever home in Cambridge with a mom committed to continuing her weight loss program and taking her on plenty of walks. Betty is super happy


Being blind didn't hold Leah back from a perfect forever home.  She has a great family now with a visually impaired Boxer brother to be her forever buddy.


Zoey was spotted on facebook and her profile was spread far and wide until it ended up in Goderich where her future family discovered her.  Technology is amazing especially when it can match rescue dogs with their perfect forever homes.


Gus is now being called Angus and is living in Toronto. He's got a big brother Boxer X who he idolizes and a dad who thinks he's just perfect


Sadie is now living in London with a loving family with a big yard and two young kids to grow up with.


Rocket is now living in the heart of Toronto and is a big city dog. He can strut his stuff all over T.O. now with his new mom and dad.


Sherman the people lover has found a family in Oakville with 6 people in it to love him and give him pets. Sounds perfect for him.


Boomer is now in London with his forever family and is having a ball.  He loves his new home and is a happy boy.


Baxter has found a mom who is retired and has all kinds of time to spend with him. He is living in Kitchener.


Layla found a great home up north in Port Syndey with a couple who can provide her the companionship she requires along with a whole lot of love.


Reggie is a big city dog now! He's the first dog for a fantastic Toronto couple and they couldn't have picked a better dog to start with.


Islay found her perfect forever home in Stratford with a mom who has the patience, caring, and time to raise her and train her to be the best dog she can be.


Dexter has a wonderful forever home in Georgetown with a family with kids and all kinds of Lab experience.  He will have tons of love and fun in his home.


Scruffi found his perfect home in St. Catherines with a family who know Jack Russell Terriers well and have been looking for their next best friend.


Shannon never even made it to the website as her family was waiting for us to find them a perfect dog and she is it!  Her name is Ellie now and she lives on a beautiful country property in New Tecumseh

Bella found her perfect family before making it to the website thanks to her wonderful foster dad.  She's living in New Hamburg now with a family with kids!

Louie found a great home in New Hamburg with a retired couple who are looking for a little buddy to share their life with.

Harley found his perfect home in Cambridge and will have lots of people home to love him and play with him.

Maya has found her forever home in Stratford with a mom looking for her first dog to love. Maya is a great beginners dog and will teach her mom the joys of dog ownership!


Sam found her forever home all the way up in Bancroft with a mom and dad and a Shepherd sister to show her the ropes.  She has an ideal home now where she will never again know cruelty.


Angie has found the most loving mom and dad who were immediately smitten with her despite her unique appearance.  She has 3 cats for buddies and she's so happy!


Asher found a home with a Golden Retriever brother named Thunder so Asher is now named Storm.  Thunder and Storm are best buddies and share their home with a loving mom and dad and kids! Storm will have all kids of fun and attention in his forever home.


Out of all the dogs our photographer has worked with it was Madison that stole her heart. She is an Italian Greyhound/Jack Russell Terrier mix and now has a loving forever home. And we are sure to have regular pictures of her sent our way!


Clint was very sick when he came to us so had to spend some time in his foster home recovering.  He's healthy now and managed to win over the hearts of his foster family who couldn't bear to part with him.  His name is Bandit now and hes a happy boy!


Hank's sad story has a happy ending! He has been adopted to a loving couple and he has a furry family to help him continue to gain confidence and move ahead.  His name is Kane now and he will live happily ever after.


This Beautiful girl is Belle and she has been adopted to a family in Cambridge who were on the look out for a sweet natured Golden Retriever to add to their family.  Belle never even made it to the website as we knew her forever family would fall for her!


Socks found his forever home in Waterloo with an active couple looking for a great dog to share their life with.  Socks was a perfect match and is being called Simon now.


Penny found a loving forever family in Kitchener who were on the look out for a dog who loves walks and cuddles.  These are 2 of Penny's favourite things so it was a perfect match! She's got a big family to share her love with.


Hemi was the perfect fit as his forever family really wanted another Min Pin after their last cherished dog passed away.  Hemi won them over right away with his comical antics and joy for life. Hemi's got it made!


Mallory was immediately snapped up by a staff member at our vet's who has been waiting so patiently for a sweet natured Golden to come our way.  Mallory is called Ryder now and she is a much loved member of the family.  She was definitely worth waiting for!


Abby has found her forever home!  She was the perfect fit for a family of first time dog owners with teenage girls who wanted a dog to love but not the energy and mischief of a younger dog.  Abby will get all kinds of love and attention here.

Carmen had a great foster dad who found her a perfect home with his friends.  Carmen is called Islay now and loves her new parents and cat sibling. She still gets to see her foster dad regularly too!
Cali found her forever home in Waterloo with a young couple and their cat...named Callie.  It was meant to be!  Cali and Callie are getting along well and we know that Cali is going to be a happy girl in her new home.

Norman has finally found his forever family. He will be the first dog for a young couple in Woodstock and will get all the love he deserves

Lilah found her forever family very first day she went up for adoption.  She was the perfect pup for a family in Guelph who were looking for a new dog after the loss of a beloved elderly dog. A house just isn't a home without a dog. Lilah is called Kayla now.

Bounce found his forever home with a lovely retired lady in Oakville. Bounce was so attached to his foster mom that we weren't sure he would bond with anyone else quite the same, until his new mom came along.  It was like they were meant to be together.  This was a perfect pairing and Bounce has a new mom to adore

Having heartworm didn't hold Edwin back from finding a wonderful family. He's going to be a big city dog in Toronto with a loving couple who will make sure he completes his treatment with us and will be heartworm free in no time.

Jordan is a happy and friendly ShihTzu X who we rescued from the pound. We had a great family waiting for a lovely non shedding small dog to come along.  Jordan was the perfect fit and he's now a much loved member of their family


These 2 dolls are Daisy and Rosie and they are Toy Poodles we rescued as a bonded pair.  Their foster mom found them a perfect home together with a neighbour family that had a beloved Poodle that passed away.  These 2 have the best home ever where they will be loved and cared for forever and never parted.

Rusty found his perfect home in no time. He was a popular dog even though he piddles!  Rusty is being called Mac now and he lives with a couple in Guelph where he will get all the care and love he needs.




Manny found a great home in Hamilton with a loving couple and their cat who has already established that he is the boss.  Manny doesn't argue that, he knows cats rule!  Manny is named Finlay now.

Blue has found a terrific mom in Woodstock looking for her first dog to call her very own.  Blue has her undivided attention and is a happy girl getting plenty of walks and love.





Hondo is living in Vaughn with a great family who love the look of a Husky but didn't want the size or energy level of one.  They discovered Hondo and knew he was THE ONE.  Hondo loves his new family and is a very happy boy.

Jasmine found a wonderful couple in Hamilton who were looking for a young and friendly Boxer to call their very own.  Jasmine was the perfect fit! She will get all the exercise and love she needs to be a happy girl!


Riddle found a great couple in Wasaga Beach to adopt him. His mom wants to pursue agility training with him. He will excel at that!


Junior has been adopted to an active young couple with a super playful female Boxer. Junior adores his sister and they play non stop! Boxer X heaven!


Amp found a home in Forest, Ont with an active mom who was looking for a walking buddy. He can't believe his good luck!
Griswald was a very popular dog for good reason!  He found his forever home in Toronto with a young couple and their dog named Wolseley.  Griswald and Wolseley, now thats a perfect pair!

Kip went to a forever home with a previous adoptive family who were looking for the perfect little buddy for their dog. Kip and his new sister bonded immediately and it was the perfect fit. He's called Jaxon now.

Finnigan has gone to be the first dog for a young family in London.  They fell in love with his calm, gentle nature and just new that he was the perfect pup for their young children to grow up with.  He is being called Hendrix now.
Dudley found his perfect home with a couple from Hamilton and their Shep X young dog.  Dudley is already enrolled in level 1 dog school and will be getting a great doggie education just like his lovely new sister did.  We are so pleased!
Jaxson found his forever home in Kitchener with a great man looking for a new best friend. Jaxson is more than happy to be his new dad's best buddy in all adventures and also during down time.  Here's to a great match!
We were thrilled when Heidi found her perfect home with a Doberman loving family in Maple, Ont.  They were everything we were looking for for our precious girl and they couldn't believe their luck that they found such a loving and good natured girl.  It was a perfect fit!

Odin found an active dad looking for his new best friend.  Odin's new dad was looking for a Cattle Dog and was so happy to have found Odin.  We are so happy to.  These 2 will have many adventures together.
Lyra's touched many people and she was a very popular little dog.  She found her forever home in Mississauga where she will be a much loved family dog and will be cuddled a lot.  She will love that!
It took a while for us to find the perfect home for our rambunctious Lab pup but patience pays off as we found Blake a great home! She lives in Woodstock now and has 2 boys to rough house with and a Golden Retriever sister to wrestle and run with. Blake will be so happy!

Athena was noticed by a PDR volunteer who fell immediately in love with her. She has found her forever home in Wellesley with a wonderful couple and their 2 dogs. Athena will get plenty of walks, romps in the yard, and most importantly, love.  She's destined to be very spoiled!!

Holly found a family in Bright that was looking for a beautiful Collie type dog to complete their family.  Holly is going to be a much loved family dog living her life on a farm!  So much for that glowing white coat!
A broken leg didn't hold Oscar back from finding his forever home.  He lives in Kitchener now with a wonderful couple and he has a tiny little dog brother that he will be best friends with.  Oscar has found a home full of love to spend his life in.
Gryphon is now a family dog in Drumbo where he is enjoying lots of walks and play.  He is starting obedience school right away so he can learn to be a well behaved and obedient giant dog.  Gryphon is called Hank now.
Dora was the perfect fit for a young couple looking for a good friend for their little boy Shih Tzu.  She lives in St. Thomas now and will be a much loved family dog.  Good for Dora!!!
Bunny found a Rottweiler loving family in Cambridge who were looking for a buddy for their male Rottweiler.  Bunny and her new brother got along very well and will be the best of friends.

Stormy found a forever home in Millgrove with a retired couple looking for the active pup to eventually join them on long walks and hikes. Stormy was our most active puppy and suited them perfectly.  She is called Mei-Li now after her Chinese Pug heritage.
Windy was the perfect pick for her new mom and Pug brother.  She has gone to her forever home in Mississauga and is impressing her mom by being such a good puppy. Her name is Jilly now to match her new brother Beans. Jilly and Beans, too cute!
Peggy has found her forever home in Brampton with her mom and Pug sister Zoey.  Peggy is called Sophie now and she adores Zoey, copying her behaviours and wanting to follow her everywhere.  Zoey is learning to cope with a new baby sister but every day they bond more and more. 
Big Chunk was the pick of a family from Woodstock that has 2 young girls.  He is called Carl now and he is adored by his new "sisters".  Carl is a huge hit with his family and he is being a good boy, making us proud.
Linus went to his forever family in Schomberg that includes 2 young girls who love him dearly.  His family loved the name Linus and opted to keep it.  He is settling in well and proving to be a smart little boy, leaning the rules of the house and being super cute.
Timmy was the perfect pick for his new family from Waterloo.  They wanted a calmer pup and our sweet little Timmy fit the bill.  They also loved the name Timmy as it suits him perfectly. Timmy is much loved by the 2 young boys in the home.
Pixel is the perfect first dog for a couple and young boy who were looking for a friendly and affectionate small dog.  She is living in London now and will receive a lot of attention and love and walks.  Pixel has a lot of kisses to give and her new family loves to receive them.
Wallace is a Bearded Collie X who never made it to the website as he was discovered by family members of his foster family and it was love at first sight.  He lives in St. Thomas now and has a Goldendoodle as a buddy.
Pepsi found her forever home in Bowmanville with a young couple and their Boston Terrier.  It was love at first sight with the dogs and they are fantastic friends now. Pepsi has a lifetime of long walks and play with her new buddy, and snuggles and cuddles with her new family.
Lucy has gone to Brantford where she found her forever family.  She is the first dog for an active family with kids which suits Lucy perfectly.  She loves playing in the backyard and has many playmates now. Lucy will love all the attention she will get.
Violet found her forever home in Princeton.  It took a while for us to find this beautiful girl her forever home but it sure was worth the wait.  She is adored by her new parents who were looking for an affectionate and well trained dog to complete their home.  They can't believe how perfect she is.  Her name is Lexi now.
We were approached by previous adopters of Angie the German Shepherd, looking for a buddy for her.  We found Leo, a Shepherd X, at the pound and boy did he ever fit the bill.  He started off in the "foster to adopt" program and when it became apparent he was exactly what his family and Angie were looking for his adoption was finalized.  Congrats Leo on a wonderful home!
Monty is another dog that was successfully adopted directly from his foster home without every going up on the websites.  He is a 6mth old Bernese Mountain Dog X that was the perfect dog for his new mom and her young daughter.  They know his foster family and were waiting for the perfect dog for them to show up... and it was Monty!

Lincoln is a 4mth old Chow/German Shepherd puppy that has been adopted by his foster family.  We knew when we dropped him off that there was very little chance of him going up for adoption.  It was love at first sight for his foster family and he was just what they needed after the sad passing of their beloved dog a few months prior. Puppy love has healing powers!

Dixie found a family in Milton who knew exactly what a Plott Hound was and what the breed requires to be fulfilled.  Dixie will have kids to share her home with and give her all the cuddles and hugs she desires.  She has a fenced yard for daily sniffs and a dad who plans to run with her.  She will love that! We just need to convince the cat that she's a welcome family member now.


Tig found his forever home in Fergus with a family that is dedicated to training him well and raising him to be a great representative of his breed.  He will get a lot of love and affection from his family, and all the rough housing, wrestling and running play he desires from his new sister, a Rottweiler X , who is a perfect match for him.


Missy is a Yorkie/ShihTzu who was adopted before even making it to the website.  We had a family who submitted an application describing in detail the dog they were hoping to adopt.  They were patient and waited for the perfect dog for their family...and Missy was that dog! She now calls Baden home

Cadet found a family in Kitchener that was searching for a happy, lively and super friendly dog to complete their family.  Cadet was the perfect fit.  He shares his home with kids, cats and a new best buddy, Zooey, the Beagle. He will now enjoy daily walks, runs and all kinds of affection

Ruby was very popular for good reason! She found her forever family in Burlington where she will have teenage kids to play with and a doggy play group to attend daily. She will be so happy! Good luck Ruby!


Mr. Jenkins went from the poor house to the penthouse as they say!! He started off as an unclaimed stray, discarded as an 8yr old dog.  He is now living the high life in a Toronto condo that is very spacious and has its own private fenced rooftop patio! He is loved by a young couple who will lavish him with everything his heart could desire...most of which is cuddles!
Riggs found a home in Courtice, Ont. with a great couple that already have a Shepherd/Husky and were looking for a buddy for her.  Riggs was the perfect fit and he loves his new sister.  He's with a couple who understands the energy and exercise requirements of this breed mix and they were so happy to have Riggs join their family.
Tula has been adopted to a family in Kitchener that includes 2 little girls who are so excited to have a girl dog to dress up in sparkly collars and leashes. Tula's new dad is looking forward to running with her and we've made him promise that he's entering her in this years competitive obstacle race now that they have a Canine division!  Tula is with an active family and that suits her just fine
Zuri found her forever home in Ingersoll with a wonderful woman and her young adult daughter.  They have been without a dog for a long time during the busy teen years and both agreed that now is the right time to bring a dog back into their life.  It was love at first sight with Zuri and she was the perfect fit for them.  She fit right in!
Maggie now Heather was unclaimed at the pound, having been owned by a man who let her run loose all the time and got sick of claiming her.  We took her in and her foster family fell head over heals for this loving, sweet and happy Golden Retriever/Collie.  She has never run off once now that she is in a loving family.
Tawny found her forever home! She was adopted by a great couple who absolutely love this wonderful dog.  She will have all of the love, affection and exercise she needs and they are committed to training her well and making sure she has dog friends to play with.  Tawny is a lucky girl!
Jessie found her forever home in Port Elgin with an active retired couple who were looking for an active dog to suit their lifestyle.  They have all kinds of time to devote to playing, training and loving our beautiful girl. She will be greatly loved.
Annie found her forever home in Kitchener with a caring and loving woman who was drawn to Annie's need for patience and calm in order to gain confidence and flourish.  Annie has a dog brother who will become her best friend in no time, and a mom who has the time to devote to her and the knowledge to bring out the best in this shy girl.
Sully is going to call Windsor home and will share his life with a young couple looking for their first dog together.  Sully will love being the only pet and getting all of their attention.  Sully will live an active lifestyle of many walks and play times with his new family.
Licorice the 3 1/2mth old Border Collie pup found her forever home before ever making it to the website!  She will be living on a farm in Washburn where she will not only be a much loved pet but also a working dog.  Her family plans to train her for agility and herding skills.  Her new name is Jade and we couldn't have found a better placement for our active and super smart puppy.
Sarge has found his forever home in Cambridge with a loving family in need of a dog to complete their home after the passing of a cherished family dog.  Sarge will receive all the love and care that he didn't get in his previous home and he will never be abandoned again.  Sarge is a very lucky boy!

Lily found her home in London with a family who have been searching for the perfect dog to complete their family.  They met our lovely Lily and knew she was the one for them.  Lily will get all kinds of love in her new home.
Our wonderful volunteer who takes Rowdy to dog school bonded so strongly with this love of a dog that she couldn't part with him.  Rowdy is now called Mowgli and he has a Lab X brother who adores him and a loving family to give him the best home ever!

Ellie was very popular and had a lot of interested families so we had no trouble finding her a perfect forever home.  Ellie is going to be living in Plattsville and will share her home with some cats and a Golden Retriever buddy.  Ellie will be greatly loved and cared for and will never again be abandoned.
Argo had no troubles finding a forever home.  His smiling face attracted a lot of interest.  Argo will be living in the countryside close to Drumbo with a couple and their female Rottweiler who will be his best friend.  The dogs really got along and she likes to play as much as he does.  Perfect match!
Winston's new dad had pretty much given up hope in finding his perfect dog when he came across Winston's profile and knew immediately that this was his dog.  Winston seemed to have the same opinion as he bonded to his new dad right away too.  WInston is being called Norm now and lives in Cambridge.
Stubby found his forever home!!  He is now the dog of his very proud dad in Guelph.  They are a great pair and will have a lot of adventures together.  Stubby has already been taught to swim by his dad and there's many more things they will do together.  Stubby is called Milo now.  Congrats Milo on a great home!
Riley the Doberman came to us as a stray so thin and malnourished that every bone in her body could be seen.  She had a remarkable temperament and was fostered by a staff member at our vet clinic who had been waiting a long time for a Doberman to come along.  With good food and a lot of love Riley is gaining weight and is now a healthy and happy dog who was officially adopted by her loving foster home.


Ginny is the sister of Luna and found her perfect family before ever officially going up for adoption.  A great couple was referred by our vet and they wanted a gentle natured, affectionate pup to join their family.  Ginny won them over and will join a wonderful home of her new parents, and 2 bunnies in Kitchener.
Mabel has found her forever home! She will be living with a family in Kitchener that has 2 teen girls who have been missing having a dog in the home. Mabel is sure to get a lot of love and affection from her new family...and a lot of walks too! Congrats to Mabel on her new home!
Luna was adopted by a loving couple in Toronto who were looking for an affectionate, friendly and medium energy puppy of their very own.  Luna was everything they were looking for.  She's going to have a great life of lots of walks and all kinds of sights and smells in the big city.
Clover was found by a woman looking for a Border Collie to be her running partner and best friend.  She now lives on a farm outside of Drumbo and has a dog friend along with plenty of farm animals to keep her busy.  Clover will be well exercised and trained and will be living a Border Collie's dream life!
Lyla was spotted by a young family in London who were looking for a great natured pup to join their family.  Lyla is going to have kids to grow up with and will get a lot of attention and be greatly loved. 
Gemma has found her forever home!  She is living in Woodstock now and is the only pet to a great couple and their young child.  Gemma will get a lot of cuddles,  love and walks and will be very happy getting all of the doggie attention.
Little Prince couldn't have found a better forever home. Previous adoptees of Daisy and Rosie, the darling poodles, fell for Prince and knew it was meant to be. He's got everything he wants, loving caregivers, kids and little dog buddies!

Becky found her home in Toronto with a man looking for his first dog now that he is settled and has the lifestyle to suit a dog. He was well researched and prepared and his search led him to Becky. It was a great fit and Becky now has a house with a big backyard in the big city!
 
 
 
 
Remember Pickle? Our little darling with the broken leg? Well she is all healed up and has found her ideal forever home in Ottawa with her foster mom's sister.  We are thrilled that Pickle stayed in the family and we will all get regular updates on this amazingly sweet little dog.

Little Princess Ruby found her home in Binbrook with a couple seeking a little dog to complete their family. Ruby won them over with her cuteness and her many kisses and they knew this was the dog for them. She will get a lot of exercise and attention in her new home. We know she will be very happy!


Tyrion has a new mom!  He has found the most wonderful home with a loving woman and her Lab.  He will be so well cared for and will have everything he ever needs.   We are thrilled that this wonderful dog has found such a great home.  He will be called Ty now.



Cookie has found the most wonderful couple to adopt her. She is calling Burlington home and has the nicest neighbourhood right by the lake, perfect for walks! She will be so loved.


Higgins found his forever family very quickly. The first day he was posted for adoption he was spotted by a couple looking for a rescue dog to add to their family. Higgins now lives in Georgetown with a loving family and their dog who will be his new best friend.

Mortimer found his forever home in Kitchener with a young couple looking for their first dog.  As fate would have it, they had already decided that they were going to name their dog Mortimer when they should get him.  Well, no name change needed here! Morty is home where he was meant to be!!

Cabrinha found her forever family in Barrie.  She will bring puppy happiness and energy into a home that had to sadly say goodbye to their beloved older dog not long ago.  We know Cabrinha will add joy and so much love to her new family.

Georgia is a Lhasa Apso who never made it to general adoptions because we had a lovely woman waiting for a small, non shedding dog to come along and Georgia suited everything she was looking for...and is super cute to seal the deal! Georgia now calls Kitchener home and has a devoted mom to care for her.

Muppet is a Westipoo that never made it to general adoption as we have a waiting list of families looking for sweet, non shedding, little dogs.  Muppet was the perfect fit for a young couple in Kitchener looking for their first dog.  It was love at first sight and Muppet is adored in her new family.


Skip the Doberman came to us terribly thin and neglected but he was super happy and friendly.  He blossomed in foster care and while there, won the hearts of close family friends of his fosters.  When ready he was welcomed into their home to live forever.  Skip will get to see his foster family often which suits everyone!

Chance found his forever home with a woman in Hanover who has been looking for another sweet and loving Shepherd type dog since the passing of her beloved dog.  She met Chance and knew he was the perfect dog for her.  His name is Mickey now.


Wiley found his new dad in London! He went to an active man looking for a running partner and best buddy. Wiley will be attending obedience school and the goal is to train him for dog sports like agility or flyball.

Tucker found a couple in Guelph looking for an active, happy little dog and they fell in love with Tucker. He will be a great companion for them and will join them on travels out east and daily activities


Tibby will be living in Keswick with a great couple looking for their first dog together. They fell in love with Tibby and knew she met all their wants and desires. They look forward to obedience school and know that Tibby will be a superstar!
Finn was extremely popular and made it very hard for us to pick his family out of so many applications but we know we did great by him! He is living in Burlington now with a young couple looking for their first dog. They are dedicated to training him well and bringing the best out in this wonderful pup.

Finn Olive is the first dog for a wonderful man and his teenage son looking for a sweet, calm and loving dog to add to their family. Olive has a cat to be friends with in her new home. Her family is so thrilled to welcome Olive to their New Hamburg home, forever. 

Bobby's forever home is in Toronto with a couple who were heartbroken over the loss of their beloved Newf and were astonished to find a young and lovely Newf boy in need of a home.  His new mom is a professional dog walker and Bobby will go to work with her everyday and help walk all his new friends..

Bunny found a great forever home in Kitchener where she will be loved and doted over as the only pet in the family.  Her new family was searching for a Rottweiler to love and Bunny was the one for them!

Huck found his forever home in Waterloo with a young couple and their Collie/Lab dog who were looking for a puppy to add to their family.  Huck impressed them with his skills at puppy class and got along great at the home meet and so he came to be in his loving forever family


Buck was VERY popular and we had people wanting him as far away as Texas!!  We were able to find Buck his perfect home with a family from Orangeville where he will get a lot of attention and exercise and he will be going to advanced levels of training to make take advantage of his German Shepherd brains and abilities!  PERFECT!!!


We just happened to have a great family looking for a Basset Hound when Maisy came into our rescue.   Maisy never made it to the website as she suited their family and home very well and it was love at first meet.  Maisy is happily living in Kitchener with her new family and a little dog brother.

Dash is a Min Pin/Jack Russell X that ended up being the perfect dog for his foster family. His happy, loving nature and good manners turned his foster family into a forever family and we are so pleased!

Popeye is a 8-10mth old ShihTzu who never made the website as we had a wonderful woman eagerly waiting for a dog exactly like him to complete her home.  It is a very merry Christmas for both pup (now named Rudy) and his new mom this year.  They adore each other!

Lou has found a wonderful home in Oakville with a loving couple looking for their first dog.  He will be the only pet and get undivided attention and love which suits him to a tee.  Lou is already exploring the smells of his new neighbourhood on walks with his new family.



Bailee has found her most perfect home in Kichener with an great young couple eager for their first dog together.  They knew what characteristics they were looking for in a dog and Bailee was what they were looking for.  She is being called Linda now and she is a very happy girl.


Ace found a terrific home in record time with a family who knew immediately that this was the dog for them. Everything they had described in terms of energy level, intelligence, personality, temperament and size that they wanted in a dog was Ace. IT was love at first meet and an absolutely perfect match. Ace now lives in Puslinch with a family with kids and a super friendly dog to be his best buddy.    


Eve wasn't with us long at all when she found her forever home with a woman in Kitchener looking for her first dog.  Eve was such an easy dog to live with that we knew she would be a great fit, and her new mom just loves Border Collies so it was a perfect match.  Eve is called River now.



Faith found her perfect home with a family in Kitchener that has kids and a Lab to be her best friends and forever buddies.  She will be attending obedience classes to keep working on her confidence.  Faith is a very happy pup now that she has found her forever family.
    
  



Rosie didn't let a heartworm diagnosis hold her back from finding her forever family.  She is now the only pet of a couple in Oakville so she will get all the love and attention, which suits her perfectly.  Her family will be working with us to complete her heartworm treatments and get her back on track to a healthy heartworm-free life.
    


Sammy found a great home with a man who was experienced with the Husky type breeds and who was drawn by her beauty and medium size.  His father lives with him and is home most of the day so Sammy will always have company.  Sammy lives in Cambridge now with 2 cats as potential friends too.    
    

Rayne found a great couple in Cambridge who wanted to add another dog to their family to give their young Husky an active playmate.  Rayne is the perfect playmate and it took no time for the dogs to be good buddies.  Rayne will be called Rae now in her new, loving home.  Her new parents are pretty smitten with her!


Fergus is a Lab/Border Collie pup who never made it to adoption postings as we had a wonderful couple actively searching for a Lab type pup to join their family.  Fergus has a Lab sister who he adores and he couldn't have found a better home. Congrats Fergus!    


Damsel had so many families wanting her but our sweet princess needed a specific home where she could be the only pet and get all of the attention and people who understood her Doberman needs and quirks.  Damsel found all that and more with a young couple from Oshawa who are committed to furthering her training and catering to her princess needs.    



West was super popular for good reason.  We had no problem finding him a great home in Mississauga with a young couple looking for a dog to add to their family after the passing of a beloved dog.  West is named Decker now.  He is in good hands and will get all kinds of love and attention. With happy hearts we are thrilled to say that Buster has found his most perfect forever home. He is living in Acton with his new mom and 2 mature small dog siblings to keep him company. He will have everything he ever needs and more. (rollover picture)



Phoebe found an amazing couple in Hamilton to adopt her! She was exactly what they were looking for and they have the time and energy to properly train and raise a puppy. She starts puppy school very soon and is being a very good girl in her new home.  Her name is Elli now.    


Daphne found a dog's dream and will be living on a beautiful horse farm in Acton with a loving family and a dog brother to play with.  She will be put to work as the social greeter to all visitors and will accompany her dad on daily chores.  Her name is Chelsey now and she's got a wonderful life ahead of her.

Can you believe that Cash was an unwanted stray? This adorable Pomeranian was adopted by a couple who saw him posted as a stray and contacted us immediately when they heard he went to rescue.  They were the ideal family for Cash so after some good foster care and full vetting off to Ennismore he went to have his happily ever after.


Axel is an super sweet Doberman/Shepherd puppy who ended up in the pound after being a spontaneous purchase by someone not equipped to care for a puppy.  We had a wonderful family looking for a Doberman puppy and it was love at first meet! Axel now has a great family committed to training him and giving him everything he needs.    


Otto is a Shepherd/Collie who never made if up for adoption as his foster dad fell in love and couldn't part with him.  We at PDR celebrate this "foster fail" because we know Otto has a wonderful home and he will be well cared for.  Otto's gentle nature and calm spirit were exactly what his new dad was looking for and fostering soon became adopting.    

Raven has gone to a family with kids to be their very first dog.  She is going to be very loved and cared for and was exactly what her new family was looking for.  Raven has a big backyard to play in with her kids and will join in all the family activities.  She lives in Waterloo now so we hope to see her at events in the area.



Pugzy found a great home in Waterdown with a couple looking for a cuddly, lower energy dog with personality. That is Pugzy most definitely and she's going to be so happy with her new family.    


It took no time at all for Maddi to find her forever family. She lives in Kitchener now with a young couple perfectly suited to our sweet pup. She will be well trained and well loved and cared for. She couldn't ask for anything more! We look forward to photos as she grows.  


Snaggle found a great home in the bogy city of Toronto with his new dad. Snaggle can go to work with his dad so he will love all the attention that comes with that. Snaggle really seems to love his dad from the first meet so we know he's a happy dog now!

Murphy is a 9mth old Mastiff/Bulldog who needed a lot of work with confidence and socialization as he came from a puppy mill. Our volunteer training assistant spent a lot of time with him helping build up his self esteem and training and in the meantime fell totally in love with him. Murphy lives in Kitchener now and will always be a member of the PDR team!
 
   


Sugar found her forever home in Niagara on the Lake with a man who is looking for his next buddy following the passing of his Am. Bulldog. Sugar can go to work with her new dad and ride in the truck and visit job sites. She will be thrilled. Plus she has kids to play with too. Perfect!

Norah found her perfect home in Waterloo. She's got kids which is ideal for her and a new mom who though she was just perfect. Norah even has a cat and in time we are sure it will come to accept her as well. Norah is being called May now and she is so happy in her forever home.  

Tess was a very popular dog and we had many applications on her.  We found her a great home in London with a very active couple looking for a running/biking partner to accompany them.  Tess is built to run and she was the perfect fit!


Sweet Molly found her forever family in Waterloo! She has kids to play with and a new dad who was really hoping for a hound and was thrilled to find Molly available for adoption.  She had the exact temperament he was hoping for and Molly became a member of the family



Nikki found her forever family in Millgrove.  She is very much loved by her family, which includes parents, kids and a nanny so Nikki will have someone home with her most times.  This suits Nikki perfectly as she loves being with her people.    


Miles is a 7mth old Shepherd X that never made it to the adoption sites as he was the perfect dog for a family we had that was waiting for an active, friendly, dog loving, child loving pup that would be a great jogging partner for mom.  Miles ticked off every box of what they were looking for and then some. Miles lives in Waterford now with his forever family.    

Ginger found her new home in Maple with a family that has previously adopted from us.  They have Cali the Doberman and were on the look out for a companion for her.  A hound was on the wish list and when they saw Ginger they knew she was the one.  Her name is Aspen now and she's very loved in her forever home.


Libby found happiness with a couple in Kitchener that had an application on file with us waiting for a sweet Lab to come along.  They got super lucky because Libby is a 7mth old darling of a Lab puppy and she was the perfect fit for them.  They have named her Scout now.

Moe found his forever home in Fonthill with a retired woman who had done her research and knew exactly what kind of dog would suit her the best.  Moe was it and he now enjoys walks along nature trails and a mom who loves him. He will even winter in Florida!  Lucky guy!!! His name is Janda now.    


Margo didn't have to go up "for adoption" because we had a family patiently waiting for the perfect dog for their family and a Beagle was on the top of their wish list.  Margo LOVES kids so they were the perfect fit.  They are going to work with us to cure her of heartworm and in the meantime she is in a home in Elmira where she is adored!



Newman is a 7mth old Great Dane/Border Collie who was adopted before even hitting the websites by a family who have been waiting for a wonderful Dane type dog to become the newest family member.  Newman has kids and gets a lot of attention and exercise and loves being a member of a loving family.  He is living in Kitchener now.

We had an approved family looking for a loving, friendly, mid sized dog to bring some doggie love back to their home after the loss of their prior dog.  Lexi the German Shepherd/Husky was exactly what they were looking for and she has made her place in their family seamlessly.  Lexi lives in Waterloo and is greatly loved.

Miley is a year old Foxhound who found her home before even making it to the websites.  We had a loving couple waiting for the perfect dog to come along.  They met our sweet Miley at a promotional event and knew she was the one.  Her name is Zelda now and she lives in Kitchener.

Roxy found her best home ever in Michigan!! We don't adopt to the US usually but made an exception as this was the most ideal home for Roxy possible.  She is named Zena now and has an amazing couple to love her and 2 dog siblings to play with. It was a perfect fit right from the start!


Steele had an application minutes after being posted for adoption.  Her family has been patiently waiting for just the right Doberman to come along and Steele was it.  She is named Sheila now and has a comfy couch to call her own in her home in Guelph that she shares with her family and Poodle sister.


Sawyer found his home in Kitchener with a family looking for another low shedding dog to share their love with.  He was exactly what they were hoping for and he fit right in so this little puppy has a new family to love him forever!

Hudson found a great couple in Cambridge to call his new family. He was exactly what they were looking for in a dog and it was love at first sight at the meet.  Hudson is going to have a fun time with his new family!


Bud found his forever home with a young couple in Cambridge looking for a big, friendly new best friend.  Bud fit everything they were looking for.  He is named Coal now and we are happy to say he is also best buddies with prior adoptee Zelda the foxhound.


Wilson is going to be a busy puppy in his forever family that has parents and kids to love him and keep him busy!  Wilson met his family at one of our BBQ fundraisers and he charmed them right away.  They were looking for a Lab X pup to join their family and he was the perfect fit.


Russell found his adoptive family in Hamilton.  He found a couple looking for a Lab/Shepherd mix as they had loved one before and knew the mix to be a great dog.  They were very happy to have found Russell and he was equally happy to have found his forever home!


Lucas was exactly what an active Kitchener couple were looking for. They wanted the athleticism and adventurous attitude of a big dog in a little dog body and ‎Lucas was the perfect fit


Freddie found a great home with a family with kids and another dog to be his companions.  He was so happy to go to his forever home and they were thrilled to have him as well.  It was a great fit!


Diamond is a beautiful Rottie X that charmed her foster mom so much with her great manners and affectionate personality that it became impossible for her foster mom to part with her.  Congrats to foster mom Kelly on the "foster fail!"  We couldn't be happier for you both


Nova found her absolute perfect home with a couple from Puslinch.  Nova will be their only pet and sole focus.  She now lives in a beautiful home on an acre and a half on the water.  It couldn't be better for a Lab X girl.


Sheppie found her forever home in Stoney Creek with a young woman and her roommates.  They loved the Sheltie breed and were searching for a Sheltie type dog to love.  Sheppie was the perfect fit as they wanted a mature dog, past the puppy stage, but still full of life.  Sheppie fit in perfectly!


Patrick was the lucky puppy selected by a fantastic couple in Stoney Creek who were looking for a little brother for their Rottweiler X.  They described what they were looking for in a pup and took our advice that Patrick was the one.  And he sure was! Patrick has a life of walks, play and cottage time to look forward to!


Curtis found his forever home before officially being up for adoption.  We had a loving couple very interested in the litter of pups and Curtis was the perfect personality fit for them.  He's called Bennie now and has his forever home in Woodstock.


Cheyenne was a wonderful mom to her puppies and such a great natured dog herself that when it was time for her to find a special forever home we had no problem at all.  She is now the joy of a retired woman and her husband out by Wellesley. She is truly loved.


Clemmie is the first pup of the litter to go home.  She is the pride and joy of a great couple from Elmira who were looking for a spirited, active dog to share their life with.  Clemmie was exactly what they are looking for!  She is called Zola now and will be greatly loved.


Frankie found his forever home in Pickering with a young couple looking for a Bulldog X to love.  He has a super best dog friend right next door who he plays with daily and lives in a fantastic neighbourhood for walking and good sniffs.  Frankie settled in right away like he knew he was finally home.


Jax found his forever home in Paris with a loving couple looking for their first dog together.  Jax hadn't even made it up to the adoption pages but we knew he would be perfect for this approved couple and a love match it was.  Jax is called Twiz now and they are all one happy family!(Rollover picture)


Beatrice was exactly what a retired couple in Burlington were looking for after the passing of their beloved Shih Tzu dog.  They have always had ShihTzu's and fell in love with Bea right away.  Bea will winter in Florida and summer at the cottage.  Lucky dog!


Kenzie's fantastic personality made her a very popular girl. She found a great home in Mississauga with a loving couple and their Labradoodle.  Kenzie and her new brother got on great and are such a cute pair. Kenzie is much loved in her forever home.


Portia's foster parents adore this beautiful girl and have loved sharing their home with her.  When we started to have interest generating in Portia her fosters realized that they couldn't imagine life without her and have chosen to adopt her.  Portia is in the perfect home and will now be a foster sister to other dogs in need of a loving foster home. 


Otis was noticed right away by a young man looking for his first dog.  He knew what type of dog best suited his lifestyle and applied right away when he saw Otis' posting. Otis is an easy dog quite suitable for a first timer.  They were a perfect fit and Otis has joined his new dad and his girlfriend in a great home in Waterloo.(Rollover picture)


Copper has gone to a home with a young couple looking for a companion for their female dog and a dog to work in obedience and agility skills.  Copper was a great match for their needs and got along just fine with his new big sister.  So home to Waterloo he went!

Timber attracted all kinds of attention with his chocolate brown coat and blue eyes...a real stunner. He was a sure pick for his excited family from Paris.  They knew from the start that he was the one and he ended up with the right temperament to fit nicely into this forever family.


Judd is a lovely Lab/Border Collie who found a home before hitting the website.  We had a couple looking for a great natured dog to love and he was the perfect fit.   Even a diagnosis of Lyme disease didn't deter his new family from adopting this wonderful boy.


Dexter found his forever family in Georgetown.  He was the perfect dog for a couple and their daughter after the loss of a beloved family dog.  The house was too empty without a dog in it and their search brought them to Dexter. It was a great fit and Dexter loves playing with his new sister!


Ryder found an active couple in Stoney Creek that were looking for equal parts affectionate cuddly dog and active, athletic dog that can join them in outdoor activities.  They found this in Ryder and knew he was the dog for them!


Dolly found her perfect forever home with a retired single lady looking for a dog to share her life with and to love.  Dolly shares her new home in Woodstock with a cat and has many friends in the building already.  Her name is Siri now.


Sweet Lulu found her forever home in Waterloo with a loving couple looking for a cat friendly dog to share their home.  Lulu was the perfect size, energy level and personality and was exactly what they were looking for.


Aly has been adopted to a great family in Toronto who were looking for an energetic Lab X to bring doggie joy to their home after the passing of a much loved dog.  Aly has kids to play with her and best of all, a cottage where our water loving girl will thrive!


Eddie is off to Toronto to live the big city life with a young couple looking for their first dog.  They needed an apartment suitable dog and were wanting a cuddler and Eddie ticked off all the boxes of what they were looking for.  His name is Norbert now.


Joey found a loving family in London who were looking for a companion for a senior ShihTzu they had.  This family had plenty of ShihTzu experience and were confident that they could continue the maintenance of his allergies without issue. He is named Bentley now.


Mumford found his forever home in Millgrove on a farm with all kinds of wooded trails for he and his new family to explore.  It was the perfect home for energetic Mumford and he was the perfect dog for this active family looking for a dog to enjoy their property with.



Nolan found a wonderful family in Kitchener who were looking for a young Mastiff or Great Dane and found the best of both in Nolan. He's going to be greatly loved in his new family


Fletch found an ideal home in London with a couple who were looking for another Boxer after the passing of their previous beloved Boxer.  They had worked through the exact same confidence building with their dog that Fletch needs and we were all confident that they could bring out the best in him.  He is named Bentley now and has a Bulldog sister to mentor off of.


Zara found her forever family in Mt. Albert!  They were looking for a large breed puppy and having owned large breed dogs before, were prepared for the work involved to raise and train Zara to be a wonderful member of their family. They have acreage for her to run and play on so Zara is thrilled!

Jack Sparrow found the most perfect home to suit his needs in Kitchener with a great couple and their young and active Brittany Spaniel.  There was an immediate bond with the dogs and they play constantly and have the exact same energy level and play style so we couldn't have asked for a better fit!  Sparrow is called Ruxin now.


Bernard found his forever home in Hamilton with a wonderful woman and her daughter who completely understood Bernard's need for love, exercise and most importantly, structure.  Bernard has flourished in his foster home and will continue to do so in his forever home where the goal is to train him for agility work! Perfect for him!


Farley is a 7yr old ShihTzu who to us in a very neglected state.  He needed a full shave to rid him of his matted coat and good vet care and nutrition to get him in top form again.  He was adopted by a family from Ingersoll who were looking for a mature ShihTzu to be a companion for their dog.  Farley has found his ideal home now where he is greatly loved.


Taco found his forever home in Kitchener with a family looking for a small dog to love.  Taco won them over with his gentle nature and super cuteness and he seemed to think they were a great fit too!  He's enjoying life as a greatly loved family pet.



Bueller was noticed immediately by a previous adoptive family who has Mabel the Basset Hound. They wanted a brother for Mabel and Bueller was a perfect fit. The dogs get along great and Bueller is greatly loved in his new family. He is named Hank now.

Chica found her forever home in Meaford with a lovely couple who were looking for the companionship of a dog to complete their family.  Chica was exactly what they were looking for and Chica is going to enjoy a life of long walks, runs, and even boating!


Wally is a Boxer/Dachshund who met his forever family at a promotional event.  The follow up sit down meet only strengthened their desire to adopt him and have him as part of their family.  Wally didn't even make it up to the adoption sites as he lucked out with a loving home in Kitchener already.


Fitzie is a Boxer/Dachshund that never even made it to the adoption sites as he was lucky enough to catch the eye of a close friend of his foster mom who was looking to add a second dog to her family.  Fitzie needed another dog to be confident so it was a great fit.  He is called Fergus now and is living in Waterloo.


Clarke is a Golden Retriever/German Shepherd who came into our care with 3 broken bones in his foot.  Through his months of recuperation a good friend of his foster family fell in love with him and knew he was the dog her family was meant to adopt.  Clarke now lives on a farm in Baden with horses and lots of visitors which this social guy will love.


Carly found her perfect home in Chatham with a wonderful, active, retired woman who was specifically looking for a Beagle to be a daily hiking companion and best friend.  It was love at first sight for both and we knew we wouldn't find a better match.  Carly is called Nutmeg now.



Bitsy found her forever home in Hamilton with a mom and 2 daughters who had a rescue Chihuahua already and were looking for another to complete their family.  Bitsy was the perfect fit and she will be a much loved member of the family!


Mason the Jack Russell Terrier found his forever home before he officially made it up for adoption as we had a family looking for a smaller, active dog that would make a great travel companion and Mason was a perfect fit.  They knew the JRT breed well and fell in love with this jovial guy right away.  Mason lives in Kitchener now with his new parents.


Bean was the perfect fit for a young couple in Burlington looking for a small dog to add to their family.  They were drawn to Bean through his photos and write up but then it was a love match when they met him.  Bean will be greatly loved and even has a couple cats to keep him company.


Mya has found the most wonderful home with a loving couple in London who were looking for their first dog together.  They understood her food allergies and didn't let that scare them away from a truly loving and affectionate dog that was a great fit for them.  Mya will be cherished in her new family.


Jett found his forever family in Cambridge with a family that included a 12 yr old girl who were looking for a Min Pin to join their family.  Jett was the perfect choice as he was joyful and friendly and playful.  Jett is going to have so much fun getting all the doggie attention and having a girl to be his very best friend!


Harrison the Lab/Golden mix never even made it up to the adoption pages.  He was the pick of an approved applicant couple who were waiting for a Lab type dog to love.  He is called Murphy now and is enjoying the country life in his new home in Jerseyville.

 
 
 

Tippy was the perfect dog for a Cambridge family who were looking for an affectionate, cat friendly dog to love after many years of going dogless.  Tippy and her new cat sibling get along well and Tippy is looking forward to a life being a loved family member!



Faye the Dachshund met her forever family at our HOWLer fundraiser.  A wonderful couple with a Dachshund already were looking to adopt another and as fate would have it her new mom came to help out on the day and fell head over heels with Faye.  She lives in Woodstock now with a wiener dog brother!

Tilly found her adoptive home in Cambridge with a family with kids and another dog and cats to keep her company.  She will love all the attention she will get and already enjoys going for walks with her new doggie brother.  She's quite pleased with her forever family!


Darby found his ideal home with a new dog brother Bear who is a Pug mix too, and a loving couple from Newcastle who were looking for a buddy for Bear.  The dogs have the same love of play and got along fabulously.  Darby is named Trapper now and is off to a wonderful life.


Chrissy found her forever home in Kitchener with a great young couple looking for a larger dog to be a companion to their Boston Terrier.  They fell in love with Chrissy's love of life and consistently happy demeanor and knew she was the one for them.  Her name is Sadie now.


Yoda was extremely popular but a lucky couple in London were quick to apply and were a perfect fit for our sweet Frenchie X boy.  He was exactly what they were looking for and an immediate bond was made when they met him. Yoda is their only pet and will love all the attention he gets.


Todd found his forever home in Woodstock with a young couple that were looking for a Lab type dog that was friendly, active and good with cats. Todd is all that and then some so he was a great fit!


Jester found his forever home in Burlington with a compassionate family with teen kids wanting to give a shy dog a loving home.  This family is very committed to continuing to work with Jester and bring out his confidence through training, socialization, and the love of a stable home where he will never be abandoned again.


Cody found his forever home in London with a loving couple and their Cocker Spaniel X.  Cody loved their dog immediately and we knew he would do the best in a home with another dog so it was a great fit.  Shy Cody was giving kisses to his new mom within minutes of meeting her so we knew he picked this family as well!


Carson is a Golden Retriever/German Shepherd who didn't make it to the adoption postings as we had a wonderful family in Maple, Ont looking for a long time for the perfect dog to suit their family and lifestyle.  They met Carson and knew that he was the one!  Carson is named Guiness now and he lives with a couple with their 2 girls.



Hope caught the attention of a couple who have been waiting for the perfect dog to come along.  After reading her profile they knew that this was the dog for their family.  Hope agreed and she now lives in Baden with a wonderful couple and their 2 young kids and senior Retriever.  Hope loves kids and dogs so we couldn't be happier.


Martha was our most popular adoption posting yet, getting almost 22,000 people reached on her FB post!  She found her loving family on a rural property just outside of Ayr that were dearly missing having a big dog in the home after the passing of their previous dog.  Martha is now a  Maggie and she is adored!

Rey found her forever home in Scarborough with a woman and her teen son who were looking for a Retriever type dog to join their family.  They have a lot of experience with Retrievers and were wanting the energy and fun that comes with these goofy dogs.  Rey will keep them entertained, that's for sure.


Joe found the most ideal home ever with a wonderful woman in London who is a rehabilitation therapist and works with people that sometimes have sight issues, so dealing with a blind dog was not a problem for her at all.  We couldn't have found a better home for our lovely Joe Cocker and he really seemed to pick her as his new mom as well!!!


We knew from the application that the family that first applied for Bullet was her ideal placement.  We couldn't have picked better for her; and upon meeting them we were convinced.  Bullet now lives in Binbrook with an active  family of runners who were looking for a running companion and loving family pet.  Her name is Ridley now and she will be in her glory running every day!


When the family of Miles, a previous PDR adoptee, told us that they were looking for a friend for Miles, we knew that Paige was the perfect fit.  This family loves trick training and Paige (now Maisy) being an agile 7mth old Border Collie/Pug mix is super smart, all around friendly and the ideal fit for them.


Keeva was a special adoption to a family where the mom is a community educator and was looking for a working dog to take over for her current dog that is retiring.  She needed a dog to fit speciific criteria as they visit hundreds of adults & children daily in schools and community centres.  Keeva fit her needs and then some, and was a huge hit with the whole family. Keeva looks forward to her role as a humane ambassador!!!

Jimmy has found his forever home in Etobicoke with a family looking for a big dog in a small package and Jimmy was exactly what they were looking for.  He is very happy and getting a lot of attention and exercise.  His new mom says that Jimmy completes their family. We love that!


Lola found an extra special home in St. George with a compassionate woman and her daughter who saw past Lola's special needs to the amazing temperament this dog has.  She has fit right in and is greatly loved.  Her name is Winnie now.


Doug found the greatest home for him with a loving couple and their Pug/Frenchie dog named Peanut.  Doug and Peanut were inseparable from the moment they met and we all knew that this was Doug's perfect fit.  Doug is living in St. Thomas now.


Denver found a loving home in Acton with a family with 3 girls!  Denver was a hit with all the family, even the resident dog, and he loves all the attention he gets.  Denver now sleeps each night with his special girl and can't believe his good luck at having found such a wonderful family to love him.


Champion was such a special dog that his foster family couldnt part with him.  We celebrate this "Foster Fail" with them and our loveable Lab/Shep/Rott boy.  He is named Cooper now and is enjoying an active life with a wonderful young couple.


Chester won the hearts of a patient and caring couple in Toronto who were looking for a mature dog to add to their family and had a love of hounds.  Chester went from a country bumpkin to living the city life in the heart of TO.  He has made a ton of doggie friends in the area and even has a cat to buddy around with.  His name is Dudley now.


Roscoe, our senior Beagle who needed expensive cruciate surgery, fully recovered and found an amazing home with a young couple with a fondness for Beagle's who were looking for a senior dog.  Couldn't ask for a better match! 


Gracie the Bichon X found a home with a retired lady looking for a mature Bichon for companionship and a walking partner.  Gracie was the perfect match and found her forever home in Drumbo.  Gracie is called Molly now and she and her mom are the best of friends.


Piper was selected by a family we had waiting for the ideal dog to come along.  They were patient and patience pays off.  Piper is a lovely Sheltie/Aust Cattle Dog mix that suited their needs and the whole family adored her.  She is living in Toronto now.


Addi is an 8mth old Cane Corso/Boxer puppy who found a wonderful home in Kitchener with a great couple and their cats.  They were looking for a big dog, know the Boxer breed well and found Addi to be exactly what they were looking for.  They are committed to the training and exercise that Addi needs and she is a very happy dog!


Lewis, our sweet little Louis, was the perfect dog for a loving woman looking for a ShihTzu of her very own.  She new immediately upon reading his bio that Louie was the dog for her and the meet confirmed it.  It was love at first sight both ways as Louie was just silly for his new mom.  He is living in Kitchener now.


Tia found her forever home in Cambridge with an active couple who both work at a golf course and can bring the dog to work.  Tia is named Harley now and her days include a running patrol of the course, golf cart rides and napping in the office.  Tough life!


Little Digby, our boy with the amazing eyelashes, is now batting those fluffy beauties at his new mom and winning her heart.  Digby was adopted by a very loving retired woman who lives on a farm out in Paris.  Digby is a country dog now and he gets to enjoy a large and lush fenced back yard plus acre upon acre of good sniffs.  But better yet, he is his new mom's pride and joy and best friend.


Danica is a beautiful 1yr old German Shepherd that spent very little time in our rescue as we had a young couple actively looking for a young German Shepherd to join their family.  Danica is now called Adelaide, (Addi for short) and is loving life in Kitchener with her new family.


Howie has found an active family in Oakville who were looking for a  smaller dog to share their life with.  They were attracted to Howie's zest for life and obvious cuteness andthey had a soft spot for Westie's so he was the perfect fit.  Howie now has a big yard, and kids to play with every day.  Hes a happy boy!


Our beautiful Nova has found a loving home with a semi retired couple in Mississauga who were drawn to her smiling face and realized after reading her bio that she was an ideal dog for them.  Nova has settled right in and will be a loyal lifetime friend and companion for them and they will ensure she has the best life ever. 


Jade found her forever home in Binbrook with a couple who were looking for a dog to keep them company after the passing of a cherished family dog. They understood that Jade needed consistency and training and were willing to work with her to provide the stability that she needed.  They changed her name to Hannah as it had great meaning to them; what a pretty name for such a pretty dog.


MacDuff found his ideal home in Hamilton with a couple who were accustomed to the terrier ways and knew that he would be the perfect dog for them.  MacDuff now lives in a home with lots of fenced in property for him to roam and gets a lot of attention and cuddles.  He is called Chance now.


We had a young couple waiting for the perfect dog.  Benny had all the qualities of what they were looking for and then some.  It was a very successful meet and all agreed that this was a great fit.  Benny is called Ripley now and he is enjoying family life in New Hamburg now.


Brynlee is a German Shepherd/ Aust. Cattle Dog who was the ideal fit for a family who had been searching for an affectionate dog who could accompany them camping and on travels. Brynlee lives in London now and is enjoying a large yard and plenty of attention and love.  


Seymore the Boston Terrier puppy came to us from a puppy mill where he was a discard as he wasn't perfect.  His foster family fell in love with this tiny guy and it was no surprise when he found a home within the family.  We ensured that the couple knew everything about Seymore and his breed and were well prepared for life with a puppy.  He is named Winston now and will be a much loved and well trained little boy.


Willard found his forever home in Mulmur, Ontario with a couple looking for the perfect addition to their dog family. Willard was the right age and energy level and he fit right in. And the fact that hes a huge suck and loves snuggles didn't hurt either. He's quickly become his new dad's sidekick and is greatly loved in his adoptive home.


Levi is happy to announce that he found his forever home in Waterloo! His family was looking for a dog as their home was not the same after the passing of their previous dog. Levi's gentle and quiet nature really appealed to them and they knew upon meeting him that he was the one. Levi agreed and he is happily settling in with his forever family.



Charlotte found her forever home in Tillsonburg with a family that have a huge yard for her to explore and who love going for long walks. Best of all, Charlotte's new mom can take her to work every day.  So Charlotte has truly found her ideal fit and she is beyond happy in her new home.


Simon found his forever family in Waterloo with a couple and daughter looking for their first family dog.  They found an ideal new best friend in Simon who settled right in to his new family like he's been there forever.  Simon is called Sonic now.


Chloe went from puppy mill breeding dog to the life of a cherished family member with a couple in Kitchener who were looking for a sweet, small dog to love.  Chloe has a full life ahead of her now and is already the hit of the neighbourhood and has many new friends.  Everyone just loves her sweet nature and adorable cuteness.


We celebrate a foster fail with Farley's family.  His foster family grew very attached to sweet Farley during his time with them and they made such progress with him as he was such a terrified dog when they first got him.  With all the work they put into him it became clear that they couldn't part with him as Farley was home.  Farley knew it all along!
We needed a very specific family for Bogey as SharPei are a unique breed with certain requirements.  We found the perfect family who had SharPei experience and knew what to expect from this wonderful breed.  They were charmed by his beautiful colouring and even more beautiful personality and it was clear to all on the meet that Bogey chose them as well.

Tally found her forever home with a retired couple who live in rural Selkirk, looking to downsize after a life with Wolfhounds.  They had a fondness for Beagles and when they saw how sweet and calm Tally was realized that their search was over for the perfect Beagle.  She is named Tilly now and is enjoying country walks and couch cuddles.

Duchess our miracle dog survived the worst case of bladder stones our vet has ever seen.  She recovered wonderfully and was lucky enough to find a loving family!  Duchess's new mom is a nurse so she will keep on top of Duchess's health care and ensure she will never be neglected again.

Arya found her perfect home in Cambridge with a young couple who were touched by her story of overcoming past neglect and wanted to offer her a secure and loving home where she will never know sadness again.

Denny found his forever home in Waterloo with a couple who had a beloved Beagle previously and were searching for another Beagle to love.  Denny caught their eye and he charmed them with his cuddly ways when they met and it was a great match all around.

Wilbur found his forever home in Mississauga with a family looking for their first dog.  They knew they wanted an adult dog that was well trained already and had a loving personality.  Wilbur was everything they were looking for and then some.  He has settled right in to his new home and is enjoying all the attention
Newman found an extra special home in Searchmont, Ont. which is 8hrs away!!! His new family was convinced that this was the dog for them and made the long trip with their dog Maxx. It was an instant connection and everyone involved knew that Newman had found his home. The ride home went perfectly and a firm bond was set by the time they got home.  Newman's new family loves him deeply and we look forward to many updates and photos of his new life up north!

Dewey found his forever home in Kitchener with a couple who were looking specifically for an American Bulldog and had a lot of experience with powerful dogs. Dewey was everything they hoped for and then some.

Della having heartworm and being in treatment didn't stop her from finding a wonderful home in Mississauga with a couple looking for a friendly dog that could go to work every day.  Della was exactly what they were looking for and now enjoys a busy social life at the office.  Her name is Rosa now.
Sophie found her forever home in Cambridge with a family with kids and a Lab X buddy that she bonded with immediately.  She has settled in and taken up her post as squirrel patrol supervisor.  Her new family is quite happy with Sophie and so are we!

Cole found his ideal home in Guelph with a couple looking for a second dog.  His good manners with other dogs and cats was very important to this family and they loved everything about this wonderful dog.  Cole is now a much loved member of a family with all black coloured pets!
Dudley was being fostered by us, PDR co founders, Kim and Jarett, who are BIG hound fans.  He fit in so well, and was such a lovely addition to our home that the realization came that we couldnt part with him.  Dudley is a greatly loved member of the family and will be showing future foster dogs the ropes and where the good treats are.

Denver found his forever home with previous PDR adopters of Ozzie who were looking for a second dog to complete their family.  Ozzie and Denver got along great and will be lifelong buddies!
Ellie Mae found a perfect home in Conestogo with a couple looking for a buddy for their Spaniel X, Patsy Cline. The dogs adore each other and Ellie Mae has found her happily ever after.

Cameron met his forever family at the 2017 PDR HOWLer!  They were there to support pulling sports with their Husky and fell in love with our goofy hound X who also loves pulling sports.  The dogs were instant best friends and we couldn't have found a better fit for Cam. He's living a full and wonderful life with a family who adores him
Remmy having heartworm and lyme disease didnt stop him from finding a wonderful home in Baden to call his own.  He has cats to buddy up with and a loving home where he will never be neglected again.
Kingston is a 7mth old Beagle/Terrier pup who found his forever home with good friends of his foster mom.  He's gone to live happily ever after in Ayr with a young, active family, looking for a young, active dog.  Perfect fit!

Glenn found his ideal home in Roslin, Ont with a family that had prior Boxers and loved the breed.  They were looking for another Boxer after the passing of a beloved dog and came across Glenn.  It was a love match and Glenn got the gift of a forever home for Christmas.

Buttons found his forever home with a retired couple in Thornhill who were looking a long time for the perfect dog for their home.  They found Buttons and knew he was the one.  He will get to spend this Christmas in a loving forever home...best gift ever!!

Ollie the Sheltie X found his forever home in Waterloo with a great couple looking for a friend for their Retriever X. Ollie was the perfect fit in every which way.
Ella got a loving forever home for Christmas this year! She is now living in Waterloo with a couple who were looking for a Border Collie. Ella adored this couple and we knew she picked them too!

Ben found his forever home with a couple in Waterloo who worked with us on a slow integration of our shy boy to their home. Ben is doing very well and is enjoying all the attention and love he is receiving.
Aggie found a wonderful home in Mississauga with a family with 2 girls to be her very best friends.  She has fit in so well and is greatly loved.  She has already started training classes and has aspirations to be an agility dog!  She is called Storm now.
Samsan found his forever home with a young couple in Oshawa who were looking for their first dog together.  Both had family dogs of his breed mix and knew all about the energy of a young Retriever.  Samsan looks forward to summers at the cottage and regular outdoor fun.

Gunner found his ideal forever home on a horse farm where his new mom is the barn manager.  Gunner goes to work with his mom every day and has a pack of dogs to play with and lots of space to run, play, and have the best time ever.  Gunner is well behaved with the horses and is quickly learning the rules of the barn.

Pirate found his forever home in Toronto with a his new dad who was looking for his first dog on his own.  He was attracted to Pirate's size, compatibility and comical personality.  Pirate is enjoying the sights and smells of the big city and loves the dog park just a couple blocks from his new home.

Fiona found her forever home in Cambridge with a woman looking for a mature, quiet dog to love.  She found Fiona and knew that this was the dog for her.  Fiona has settled in well and is loving her new life.

Rook found his forever home in Burlington with a couple who knew that he was the perfect fit for them.  With someone home most days they were the perfect fit for him too.  Rook has been excellent with the visiting grandchildren and is a wonderful addition to the family.


Kodak found the most perfect forever home with a couple in Kitchener who loved his laid back style and general good nature. They weren't concerned at all that he had a medical condition and have already had him to the vet for a check up...all good!

Harlow is a beautiful Golden Retriever who was adopted prior to posting as we had a loving family patiently waiting for the perfect dog for them to come along.  Harlow was everything they were hoping for and then some.  Harlow lives in Breslau now, is the pride and joy of her new parents,  and has a young girl she adores.

Cali is a 4mth old Aust. Cattle Dog puppy who we knew would be the perfect fit for a couple who previously adopted Patches and was looking for a buddy for him.  Not only does Cali look like Patches but she matches him in energy, temperament and happiness!  She has settled in great and is greatly loved by her family.
Gina found her forever home in Brantford with a couple who were looking for a dog to love and knew Gina was exactly what they are looking for.  Gina enjoys long trail and bush walks, lots of love and affection, and the security of knowing she has a devoted family to care for her forever.

Lacey our sweet hound found her forever home in Kitchener with a couple looking to adopt a dog after many years of a dog free household. Lacey's new mom is a runner so was looking for a dog capable of accompanying her on runs and very long walks and Lacey was the perfect fit.  Her name is Callie now.
Quinn found a fantastic home in a rural area outside of Woodstock with a family who are German Shepherd lovers and were looking to add a friendly, nicely mannered Shepherd to their family. They couldn't believe their luck when they found Quinn and met her and realized exactly how lovely she is. Quinn has 2 girls to give her extra attention and a couple cats to keep her in line. Her new family will see her through her heartworm treatments with us and didn't let that stop them from adopting a wonderful dog.

Rascal was the perfect choice for a family that had previously adopted a PDR dog, Ridley, and were looking for a playful companion for her.  Rascal ADORES his sister and she loves being adored!  They are such a great pair and are very bonded already.  Rascal is named Murphy now and he is very much loved.

Onyx is a sweet natured, beautiful, 6mth old Mastiff/Lab mix who found herself in a rural pound with her sister Hazel. This pup has such a lovely nature and fit in so perfectly with her foster dog and cat family and her people family that her foster family couldn't bear to part with her. We celebrate this "foster fail" with Onyx and her now forever family!!

Hazel found her forever home in London with a couple and a teen boy who were missing having a dog after the passing of their previous dog.  Home just wasn't the same without doggie love.  Hazel fit right in and has brought them so much joy.  And Hazel adores her boy!

Alfie is a Norfolk Terrier who found his forever home in Kitchener before being posted for adoption.  His new dad was looking for a small dog and Alfie was a great fit.  Alfie is enjoying his new home and yard and all the attention he gets.


In foster care we discovered Norm's love of children so we were so happy to find a forever family has 3 kids to share in Norm's love. Norm lives in Elmira now with a wonderful family to call his own!

Rex found his ideal home in Cambridge with a couple and their Golden Retriever who were looking for a smaller, active buddy. Rex caught their eye and ended up being everything they were hoping for and more. Rex loves his brother Riley and the two are only apart when Rex is up getting cuddles.
Ria was the perfect dog for a family in Burlington looking for a small and spunky, happy dog to add to their lives. It was love at first sight when they met Ria and everyone in the adoption process knew that this was the perfect fit, including Ria!  She is named Izzy now.
Mishka lucked out and found a woman with kids and another dog who was looking for a young, friendly and active dog to take with her to work at a doggy daycare and boarding facility. Mishka will be the socialization dog for new arrivals once shes trained up for her position. Mishka loves her family and her doggy brother very much.  Her name is Hera now.
Sansa went to Woodstock to join a couple looking for a dog to join their family. They fell in love with Sansa and knew she was everything they were looking for.  Sansa is enjoying lots of long walks, runs and doggie daycare playtime to keep this active dog busy.
Orson found his forever home in Kitchener with a family who knew that this mature, happy dog was the perfect fit for their home.  Orson agreed and absolutely loves his big back yard, walks in his new neighbourhood, but mostly, he adores his dad. Orson is very much a dad's dog and his new dad would have it no other way!

Priscilla the Lhasa Apso found her forever home with a wonderful couple in Belwood who were looking for a mature dog to share their love with.  Priscilla was everything they were looking for and more.  They have changed her name to Tammy to honour her foster mom who gave her such a great start.

Bandit is a Boxer/Mastiff pup that we rescued after he was abandoned.  We had a family in Palmerston with this exact breed mix is who were looking for another dog and discovered Bandit on our Instagram page.  The dogs adore each other and Bandit is a great fit their kids and is loving his new family.

Macey is a 6mth old Schnauzer/Beagle pup who lucked out with a new mom and a Schnauzer sister in Waterloo.  Macey is called Milly now and she and her mom will be completing all levels of obedience school as her sister did and even try their hand at agility!!  Milly is thrilled!
